Lillian Dunn – 2016 Grant Planning Team

“Artists are magicians with money. We stretch, transform, and dance with a dollar in ways you wouldn’t believe. Micro-grants allow us to create our vision so others can see the promise of our work — as well as how efficient and imaginative we’ll be with greater funding later on!”

Version 2Lillian Dunn is Program Manager of SPACES, an artist-in-residence program at The Village of Arts and Humanities. A graduate of Swarthmore College, she studied community literary projects in Argentina as a Fulbright scholar before returning to Philadelphia, where she co-founded APIARY, a free local literary magazine. Now in its 5th year, APIARY has a circulation of 30,000 and showcases work by Philadelphians across lines of race, class, education and generation. She is a Leeway Foundation and Philadelphia Cultural Fund grantee and lost to Little League pitcher Mo’Ne Davis in the Philebrity Awards, Fabulousness category.
