2014 Grantee: BRITTANY RAFALAK

BRITTANY RAFALAK – $300

BrittanyDirector Brittany Rafalak will complete her short film project.  “Consumption” is a short film with a live, improvised musical score.  In the film, the need for food has been eradicated and consumption has been outlawed. The main character, Corinne, grapples with the unnatural feeling of hunger in a society where it is considered barbaric to satiate oneself with food.  Consumption will be screened in Philadelphia with a quintet consisting of bass, drums, piano, and two horns.  Rafalak hopes the film will encourage filmmakers and artists to produce in Philadelphia, and further develop the media community. SBMA funding for storyboard fees and video trailer editing.  brittanyrafalak.com/
