SBMA MicroGrant Eligibility
ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility and requirements have been carefully considered by the grant planning team and are firm parameters.
ALL Applicants Must:
- Be the sole or lead artist, initiator, manager or founder of the project for which you are applying for funding
- Be a United States citizen
- Live in Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware or Montgomery counties
- Be 21+ years of age
- Have not received prior SBMA micro-grant funding (does not include funding/payment received through SBMA programs or events)
- If awarded, all awarded artists must:
- use micro-grant funds within 3 months of receiving funds (exception: Fringe Festival applicants)
- provide documentation of use of funds
SBMA Micro-Grant Applicants:
- Performance-based projects must include a presentation or performance that takes place in Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware or Montgomery counties
SBMA Fringe Festival Micro-Grant Applicants:
- performance/event must take place during the 2018 Fringe Festival (Sept. 6 – 22, 2018)
- If awarded, must submit confirmation of paid 2018 Fringe Festival registration fee before funds will be released
Bartol Teaching Artist Applicants:
- community project must be confirmed or already underway
- projects must take place in Philadelphia (county)
- must submit a letter of support from host site or project partner of community project
- when providing work samples, must include one sample on your personal work and one showing your community work
- applicants cannot use all of the $500 to pay themselves
- applicants who receive a micro-grant will receive the full $500 amount
